In het werk van Clifton Mahangoe is licht in de natuur een bron van kennis en emotie. Licht ervaren creëert voor hem een gevoel van mens zijn in een onmetelijke kosmos. Dat gevoel staat nooit ver weg. Samen met het verstrijken van de tijd in stilte creëert licht ruimte in onszelf. In die zin kan een meditatieve aspiratie niet aan zijn werk ontzegd worden. Magie van de natuur en techniek lijkt hij in zijn werk samen te willen brengen; kabbelend water dat het licht van de zon weerkaatst, een donkere wapperende vlag die fanatiek licht absorbeert. Het is de eeuwigheid van het tijdelijke. De verandering van de natuur kunnen we ervaren in ons hart. Het gaat over bewustzijn.

Clifton Mahangoe staat elke dag stil om 11:11 uur om zoveel mogelijk licht te verspreiden naar de wereld. "Dit doe ik met een wereldwijde gemeenschap op exact dezelfde tijd 11:11 uur", zegt hij. Hij hoopt met zijn sculptuur 'The Sphere' dat er krachtplekken op aarde ontstaan zodat mensen zichzelf op die punten in de wereld kunnen opladen. Wat Clifton Mahangoe betreft zijn het straks allemaal energieplekken, net als kleine tempels die te betreden zijn als oases van kracht.

In the work of Clifton Mahangoe, light in nature is a source of knowledge and emotion. Experiencing light creates for him a feeling of being human in an immense cosmos. That feeling is never far away. Along with the passage of time in silence, light creates space within ourselves. In this sense, a meditative aspiration cannot be denied to its work. He seems to want to combine the magic of nature and technology in his work; rippling water reflecting the light of the sun, a dark waving flag fanatically absorbing light. It is the eternity of the temporal. We can experience the change of nature in our heart. It's about consciousness.

Clifton Mahangoe stands still every day at 11:11 am to spread as much light as possible to the world. "I'm doing this with a global community at exactly the same time 11:11 am", he says. With his sculpture 'The Sphere' he hopes that places of power will arise on earth so that people can recharge themselves at those points in the world. As far as Clifton Mahangoe is concerned, they will soon be all energy places just like small temples that may be entered as oases of power.
